NoOneGoesPro was born from a mother's transformative journey through the highs and lows of competitive youth soccer. Initiated by Heike McGlothern in 2009 as a book draft and launched as a blog in 2017, its name reflected a sobering reality: only 1.4% of college athletes ever go pro.

The project was a deeply personal reckoning, chronicling her own evolution from an "overbearing soccer mom" who applied intense pressure to a supportive parent who rediscovered the joy of the game. It was a platform built on hard-earned lessons to spark conversation and protect young athletes from the "unspoken abuse" of an overbearing sports culture, advocating for the child's well-being above all else.

That foundational history is the bedrock upon which Level is built. Founded by Heike’s son Jason, who lived the very experiences documented on the blog, Level is the positive evolution of that story. It takes the critical awareness of NoOneGoesPro and channels it into a constructive, nurturing mission. The vision is to provide purposeful, intentional environments for aspiring players who want to achieve a level of clarity along the course of their development journey.

Level is more than a new brand; it is the living application of a family’s hard-earned wisdom, ensuring the next generation of players can grow through the beautiful game without losing the love for it.
